Alpine Le Mans (20)

Postby LeMans20 » Sun Jul 10, 2022 8:26 pm

Hi

Alpine Le Mans (20)

Just wanted to give you all a heads up, my Alpine Le Mans (Number 20) is going up for auction on 16 July 2022 with Historics Auctioneers, with no reserve!

It has 33K miles on it and has only been owned by my father and myself, he bought it off Renault UK on Western Avenue in 1990. I am told it is the only one correctly badged too!

https://www.historics.co.uk/buying/auct ... id=1&pid=1

It’s original number plate is H417HRT, but it has worn 296DWL and more recently RJL545.

VIN: VFAD50205000070414
Engine: 0007819
First Registered: 23/11/90
Sold by Renault UK HQ, Western Avenue, London
Bought by my fathers company, transferred to him, then to me
Has big file, original manuals in original wallet
Original space saver with original tyre
No modifications
Original GTA Le Mans brochure
Original publicity material
Original car magazines for launch in UK

Best wishes

Richard

Thanks for the heads up- what plate does it have on it now...the original plate you have listed is a Renault Espace.
When did it last run/when was it last on the road?
Thanks

Looks a bit unloved in the engine bay, being very original is one thing but if nothing has been done for years then there is a lot of work for someone. Sounds like that's why you can't drive it away.
Shame as when looked after these are great cars, just looks like it's been left. :Douh

Blimey .
That needs completely stripping and ground up restoration, paint, mechanicals, the lot The interior looks like it'll come back OK but who knows what still works.
