Classic and straight jacket

Postby Mr Jon » Fri Mar 17, 2006 7:51 pm

My flatmate is the editor of autosport and we think the GTA should be a main feature in C+SC. So here's my question to the Haymarket team and the totally inaccurate response i received.

When i contested it, he ate his words...

Any publicity raising GTA awareness can only be encouraged, and will ultimately increase values and credibility.

Anyway, enough rabbiting on, here's the link:

PS- I completely lied when i said 'reliable'.

Weird they don't seem to remember their own article. It was Tim Jeffery's A610 that featured and it won the test but for some reason didn't feature on the cover.

I've got the article if anyone wants a scanned copy.

At least EVO seem to like the GTA - this was in the most recent issue, along with a section - RIP: Clio V6.

Top right corner!

Yes, I've got both the C&SC and EVO magazines mentioned. It's slightly frustrating that magazines mention the GTA and how good they are yet never do a feature article on them.

Can't believe their completely inaccurate statement about them never being marketed in the UK! Are you going to respond Mr Jon and put them straight?

I remember a few years back one of the classic mags did do a buying guide on the GTA featuring a particulary mint blue Atmo for the pictures. Anyone's on here?
GTA V6 Turbo - BTW check your earths!

So it hasn't featured since 2001.... Have alook at the back issues covers and count the numbers of times e types, DB 5/6, MGB, Healey etc regularly feature on their covers...

The blue atmo that appeared in Classic Cars July 2001 buying guide is mine.

I bought it in 2002. I was looking for the best condition, and it was recommended by someone in Club Alpine Renault. I only do about 1500 miles a year, and its still on its original exhaust and discs.

The only problems have been the usual speedo ones and leaking driveshaft oil seals. It is looked after by Richard at Roadspeed, Stroud
