who said it would be the ultimate install. For me, it might not be the ultimate, but it is tons better than with out.

chargecooler pipe work

I agree above the exhaust not ideal. However access to the RHS not good, plus water and the ecu is a bad mix. Straight across the bay would prohibit access to the spare wheel, which I will be refitting. Point to note, after driving hard this pipe is cool to touch. As I said the system works a treat. Did think about routing via the light access panels, however ran out of hose. Still might it would tidy it up. The cold side does not run over the exhaust and has been positioned as far from heat sources as possible.

I guess it is better being 12 inches above the exhaust than going any where near the turbo. :idea:

Dave, also if you were to fit a free flow (no silencer) type of exhaust, there would be a bit less exhaust heat too.

Pre Rad

Chargecooler radiator is mounted at a 50degree angle in the RHS forward wheel arch, with fan to the rear sucking air. Had to reposition horn. Pump is mounted behind the coolant radiators on top of undertray, well hidden and protected. My car has aircon. Mounted radiator at an angle, unlike Simon. I was going to cut some slots in the bumper to force air through at speed. (Not done this yet)

He has copied my most recent installation!!!!! :shock: Should have patented it!! :lol:
If you ditch the spare wheel (girl for having one!!!! :lol: ) and fit a straight through exhaust then the heat transfer will be even less (as Simon pointed out)
