GTA lights

Postby kjclymo » Mon Jul 16, 2007 9:17 pm

car being prepared for respray as I type. Urgently need passenger side headlamp glass, both front side lights including the grey stuff that holds them in place and a drivers side rear light cluster. How does my body man get the headlights out?
Stephen Dell mentioned on the forum Headlamps at £155 from main Renault dealer does that include side light bit or is it separate?
Any help ideas welcome

The headlights come out as a complete unit (the two headlights and the support panel) with around 6 screws. You then have to carefully slide them past the various brake/clutch fluid lines, I took the bonnet post stay off one side to help matters.

Looking on the website under adverts, parts for sale, then my used parts, Stephen quotes a price of £241 new for the headlamp (larger of the two) and £193 for the smaller one. That's over £850 new just for the headlights if you prang it

I have a full set of headlamps for sale including the support panel, and adjusters.

Thanks for the reply, I think we are talking at cross purposes I only require the glass not the whole headlamp unit. Or maybe I have got it wrong and you are giving me the right info. At the prices you mentioned I might have to stick with what I have got.
Can you email me a price please for the whole unit(s) you have for sale.

Sorry saw headlamps in your post, which sidelights do you mean? Indicators by any chance?

Headlamp glass/covers are around £150 from Renault at the moment I believe. Not sure how much the indicators are though.

Thank you both of you. Will be in touch with main dealer tomorrow. It is the side lights I need, the ones which are next to the headlight glass.

I haven't driven her for over a year so quite excited about the prospect. :D Will need to insure so will look through past threads for clues as to best deals.

Have ordered exhaust and side repeaters from ART so hope they arrive soon.
