Water pump

Postby AndyClark » Mon Aug 04, 2008 6:25 pm

After a run out today in my atmo, I noticed a slight weeping from the water pump

It seemed to be coming from what I can only describe as a bit that sticks out of the side of the water pump, towards the engine. It has a nut on it that was not loose. The leak seemed to be from where this 'sticking out bit' joined the water pump.

Does anyone have any ideas. Should I just use a sealant? If so, what sort should I use?

you need to remove the water pump to have a good look at the problem, rear casings can rot through also the small core plug can rot.
