GTA Aircon

Postby bazzamac » Sat Apr 25, 2009 12:39 pm

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for retrofitting aircon to the GTA Turbo?
And also a better working diagram than the schematic version contained in the workshop manual, particularly showing where the rubber hoses go?
Perhaps they were used by those who retrofitted the A/C when new owners opted for A/C?

I havn't been able to find anything on this particular issue in the forum.

As no one else has more comprensive info for you. The only wiring diagram I have is the factory fit version for the `86 onwards, but that is not the retrofit version, but the diag below is from the parts book, which shows all the hoses and pipe work. Thats all I can find I`m affraid  .
Hope it helps.

Hi JohnC

Thanks for that. Would it be possible to post the wiring diagram as well? Mine is a 1987 Alpine GTA Turbo and the wiring diagram could be a useful guide. Once I have completed the fitting I will post the info so others can have a guide on retro-fitting A/C. I am also seeking any info that my colleagues in Oz may have.

regards

If there is any numbered components you need identifying, let me know.

Cheers

Many thanks JohnC - will study and get back to you on component numbers if I'm stumped - thanks once again. Fortunately, a lot of the wiring has been tagged by Lee Crowston who I bought the A/C system from a while ago and hopefully I can sort it once I get into the task.

Cheers
