Alpine locations in Dieppe

Postby Tim Moores » Wed Nov 17, 2010 10:50 am

Apologies if this info has been posted before but if you are thinking of going to Dieppe and wonder where the various Alpine locations are then if you open Google Earth:

Go to a camera on a roundabout at 49° 54' 51.82" N, 1° 5' 34.84" E and after selecting the camera you will be able to look around and see the Jean Rédélé memorial; it does not show on the main picture because it was taken before the statue was installed.

The visitor entrance to the main ex-Alpine factory from the car park is at 48° 54' 42.35" N, 1° 5' 11.61" E

The entrance gate to Alpine Après Vente is at 49°54'19.78"N 1° 6'27.53"E and can be viewed from the cameras on the D154

Unfortunately the original factory location at 40 avenue Pasteur is not well served with high definition pictures.

These co-ordinates could also be input to your SatNag to get driving directions

Regards

there was a resturant with a A110 on the roof but its now gone (possibly the one now on top of a garage near the factory), we coincidently went into the exact same resturant a couple of years ago but aside from a dogeared photo there is no other stuff in there. (would recommend the Moules however)
There is the Amicables Renault Resturant up on the cliffs nearby which does have some stuff in it including a A442 Lemans car front end propped up by the toilets! When Renaultsport organise a factory trip, they usualy include lunch there but when Stephen and I turned up there one lunchtime we were chased away! It is only for private functions.
I did notice today that the Redele memorial has been graffiti'd
