Clutch Master Cylinder

Anyone know the atmo part no by any chance. I've trawled through a word search and come up with two....

7700 716 684 and 6001 007 297

Also, current symptom is that the clutch needs pumping at the pedal to disengage and then if you hold your foot on the pedal it slowly it goes away and the gear starts to drag.

I'd have thought that if it were the master cylinder gone there'd be leaking fluid. If no fluid then air in the system.

Oops.....sorry.... I misread the title :oops: :oops: :oops: .....assuming there is no leakage from the slave cylinder....the master cylinder is the most likely as it has a non return valve in it, which sounds as if it is passing a small amount of fluid back up to the reservoir when under pressure from the clutch...which it should not do.
You have got the part No. correct on one of your numbers, namely 60 01 007 297 which is the master cylinder for D500/501/502.

My A610 was sitting around for 10 years, a bit like your car from one garage to another, moisture gets into everything especially brake and clutch master cylinders.

I had to replace the one on my 610....... what a drama!!!! I think the GTA is much easier. Could not get it into gear, when i replace it I also had to bleed the brakes again!! waisted LTR's of fluid as before I tried replacing the seals which was a waste of time.....

Rupert, your symptons are the same as my car, when I first purchased it. Changed both brake cylinder.

I don`t know what is happening to me on this :oops: ..... I have just checked and double checked again and I gave you the wrong number again, but here are the correct ones:-
Clutch master cylinder....60 01 007 297
and just in case, the slave cylinder....77 00 732 756
That should be right now :wink:
Put it down to a senior moment....or two :lol: :lol: :lol:

as expected it now needs a slave cylinder. In fact i'm not sure the master had anything wrong. . . Bloody garage. So now i'm desperately searching for one. 10 days order at renault.
