Newbie with GTA story....

Thanks for the comments guy's. I'm a realist, and know that despite what seems to be ok there will be some problems along the way. When I first had the car the rear subframe was repaired due to rot near the exhaust manifold area (heat). Fortunately the cars owner from '01 to '07 seems to have taken some care and looked after it, it's the last owner who neglected the car a bit. The rear subframe will be coming out whatever (I am considering getting the whole thing galvanised) for a thorough going over. Interestingly, I've found an invoice from PJ Auto's for a single used rear damper. I always thought these things should be replaced in pairs (even on your transit van, never mind a performance motor)? Seems like a new pair will also be on the list...

Are you a member if so I think you may be able to get some discount on some after market coil overs. last time I enquired the Renault units were very expensive for a little more you can upgrade the suspension fully. The Club does a Spax conversion; Mr Dell is the person to speak to drop him a PM he can advise on the cost of a standard set up against a suspension package there are a couple of options Standard springs adjustable shocks and adjustable shocks with adjustable platforms for ride height. There are other alternatives out there as well though.

While speaking to Mr Dell you can sign up for RAOC membership well worth the money Loads of events things going on not to mention help discounts etc.

Thanks si21, I understand that membership runs from August so Mr Dell will have my subscription sometime soon in preparation! The fronts used to have adjustable shocks on it already, not checked them yet though...

I hope to spend a bit more time tomorrow on the car, but I'm working in Latvia all next week (I often do this ) so I may be quiet for a bit!

BTW the pistonheads A610 is the 4th to last RHD car not 2nd to last as advertised. Last blue one though!

A didn't like the black roof - I think I saw a nasty looking A610 once pimped up with one but on this car it looks cool.

Did it have Image wheels on it?
