It's a classic, but maybe not quite as it seems, it's not accelerated but I do wonder if the soundtrack has been tampered with to make it seem faster than it is or maybe that is just Itilian exotica. Count how many red lights he runs! I guess a loud exhaust reduces the risk.
Either way impossible now, and a nice period piece.
