Excessive camber

Postby natman » Thu May 27, 2004 5:06 pm

Fellow alpiners, just wondering (hoping!!) whether anybody else has had experience of excessive camber to the front suspension geometry, the allowable parameters according to my manual suggest between
-1deg 00' - 0deg 20' , mine is currently running at -1deg54' resulting in the rapid wearing of the first 2 inches of the inside of the tyre, ive had the components checked (inc. tracking) and everything seems to be in good order any advice on who to take it to etc would be gratefully received, my tyres say thanks too!

cheers

nat.

I've got the same problem, i.e. Tyre wear on inside edge. I am also at a loss , given all geometry checks I had completed by Roadspeed were given the all clear?. However I have had some free play in the steering and I am currently in the process of overhauling the whole lot. By the time my car is back on the road it will have new track rods end, reconditioned steering coupling & steering rack. If this makes adifference I will let you konw.
regards Paul
