service light comes on with turbo boost !!

Im here to pick ya brains again
I thought I had a fan problem as the service light would come on, I sorted the fans out awhile ago but realized the service light comes on when ever there's turbo boost, it stays on for quite awhile but can be reset if I turn the ignition off and back on again. Even a small amount of boost will trigger the service light
any ideas what might be causing this, as I can't see how the turbo or pressure switches are connected to the service light in the wiring diagram I have. Thanks

It could be a knock (pinking) sensor(s) fault or the injection system needing more ignition retardation that it can not get due to another problem.
You need to get a decent fault code reader on the car by someone who knows what to look for, to see if the knock sensor is working etc.

Not sure how a little bit of boost could be setting of the warning light.
Is yours a single Fuel Pressure regulator model ?. If so, check the hose attached to the top of the pressure regulator, since it gets crushed under the plenium. Which then blocks the pipe and hence no rise in fuel pressure on boost.

Are you running good spark plugs ?, of the correct Platinum type ?.

Further to Lee`s suggestion, unless there is an actual warning it is telling you about, it is most likely to be a short on any one of four warning circuits. See list below 6 to 9. If any of the wires going from the Service Light circuit in the Instrument panel to the four fault switches has worn through and earths when under boost, that could be your problem.

Thanks for the replys, I'll check all that you have sugested though may take awhile ! Mine is the single fuel pressure regulator, I haven't changed the plugs since I got the car as they were new at the time, not sure which ones are in!

Don`t make this any more difficult than it is ....... look at the list of items which can cause the Service light to come on .......nothing to do with the engine, pressures, fans or plugs etc. Only:-
1. Low fuel level
2. Dickey door or bonnet gate switches
3. Low screen washer fluid
4. Hand brake off switch, or pad wear.
....or as suggested above, chaffed wire from each of the above to the Instrument Panel earthing its self.
If it were anything to do with the engine etc. it would be the Stop light coming on

my low level screen wash light/gauge has never worked, In the past I have checked the earth to it and seemed ok, i will check the rest of the wiring as my starting point, and will work through the list. Thanks
