5 Turbo toolkit

Postby Simon1397 » Thu Dec 13, 2012 10:18 pm

Hi, the first R5 Turbo (8220) came with a toolbox mounted on the engine cover; mine is a bit tired and I expect missing a few of the Facom tools. Does anyine have a definitive list of the tools that was included from the factory?

There are a couple of pictures attached, the foam template suggest there are going to be a few vacant slots. I've ordered some new foam and cleaned up the tools I have but I'm curious to know what is missing and if I can (afford to) replace it.

Facom tools are definitely sold thru mac tools dealers. Have a look on there website to find your nearest franchise dealer. I think they come with a lifetime guarantee aswel. This is probably the best starting point to complete your tool kit.

Thanks, I have found the foam base - 3S Developements have them listed but as sold out - so I'll have to go with a home-made version. I wasn't really expecting any luck with the tools but I was/am curious to know the contents.

Here's the insert, not availble from http://3sdeveloppement.fr/

Yes, the kit isn't really up to a roadside repair and you'll have to forgive me posting a further picture but I did recently buy this (for another project) because it was a WRC rally kit promotion from Facom tools and it sort of seemed right to keep it in the family.

The sockets are too short in this set too mind.
