Sodium filled exhaust valves for the A610 available?

Postby Basil » Fri Feb 05, 2016 4:53 pm

I am trying to find out if it's possible to still buy the 38.6mm head size, sodium filled exhaust valves used on the 610 engine, and *MAYBE* the "normal" GTA Turbo, too. Can anyone point me at someone who might know please? Thanks. My direct mail is [email protected] should you prefer e-mail.

Hi sir,

As long as thry are not bent you can regrind both the seats and the stem tip... so if you have thr originals you should be good to go..

Regards,
Martin

The problem is I do not have any at all, and am looking for new or at a pinch, good used ones. I can re-face the seats and tips, no problem. Thanks for your speedy reply Martin. I am in the UK, but obviously don't expect to find them on my doorstep! ;)

What application is it for out of interest?

Have you tried Renault I take it? If not Simon Auto in Germany or Meca Parts in France could have them.

Second hand I think your only chance would be Clee on here or to buy a set of heads I guess.

Are you in Torquay?

He's long gone Steve, no response since Feb. I must have offended him with my Fawlty Towers joke*.

typical non-member material. Comes along, asks questions, disappears. Puts nothing back on forum to help others.
I hope he proves me wrong and tells us all how he is getting along some time soon.

PS- pretty average joke MVS.
