Ultima video

Postby Tony Smith » Wed Oct 12, 2005 5:33 pm

Bloody hell it looks so easy, those cars are the nuts - much better looking than the Noble in my opinion. I wonder what sort of 0-100 time a 600bhp GTA could post.

What's the 0-100-0 for a standard GTA?

Sounds like a handful of ancilliaries only Tony! I think a 600bhp GTA would be terrible at 0-100-0.......imagine how bad the brakes would seem with that mush power!!!! :D The Ultima is a lot quicker than a Noble in a straight line, but it wont be much quicker round corners and the Noble would be well built (or so I'm led to believe!)

Differences

Postby Tony Smith » Wed Oct 12, 2005 11:16 pm

Still a fair few differences to an A610 - waterpump is different, turbo is bigger, plenums, plumbing - its sort of a hybrid of 3 engines really.

Yep that was what I meant. Are there no detail internal differences i.e. the valvegear, pistons etc between the two? I thought I'd read in a magazine that Hartge had fitted Cosworth pistons to the bi-turbo engine. No idea where the magazine is now - I think it was an old issue of Perfomance Car.

Nope, pistons are all the same as the A610.

Hartge touched nothing internally on the engines. :)
