8) How does it ride/drive compared to standard?

Is it necessary to have the geometry checked and set up after lowering and fitting bigger rims?

It changes the rear camber which is non adjustable.

It can affect the tracking slightly at the front, or just amplify any errors in the first place.

Liam, some clear repeaters will improve the looks too!

I just got it MOT'd yesterday. Passed with almost flying colours. The front shocks need changed :cry: . I tried the bounce test, but the springs are that stiff it's hard to do by hand :roll:

Everytime I see someone else change the standard wheels I get tempted and answers like that don't help! Less understeer is always a good thing in my book! :D

Still like the look of the standard wheels though and whenever I ask other peoples opinion (non Alpine owners) they keep puting me off by saying they don't like the Azevs! :?

I must be one of the few still on standard wheels. Maybe I should do a poll! :!:

BTW congrats on passing the MOT, albeit with bad news about your shocks! :roll:

I don't think the Azev's would be my choice if I was in the market for some .Mine came with the car and are OK but too chunky .I like the look of the Rimstock Race on DG's site but still not quite what I'm after .I think the only option would be to find the wheels and make them fit .

I definitely think the Azev A's suit the car best, but as they say different strokes for different folks. :)

My ideal wheel would be something incorporating a directional 'turbo vane' style similar to the standard wheels but larger diameter to allow fitting proper sized modern rubber and with less flat central hub area and longer vanes. One of the wheel styles I've seen on the Mclaren Mercedes is the closest I've seen to what I mean, but not quite. Sadly, alot of aftermarket wheels seem to be styled very 'samey' and lack alot of imagination. :roll: :evil: (in my opinion)
