That was a fun day at goodwood, in the days before track days became horribly expensive.

I think WMW was one of Alan Johnsons cars.
The asp of my A310 is 2nd from the left (previous owner) and I think Struan Robson was the 1st left car and Martin Wares 1600 in the middle.but I could be wrong.
3rd from right could even be the Joe Salama/Tony Smith car...

The black A310 reg HYW875W from one of the photos is mine. Having had a few private plates over the years it is now GEU377W.

Big man, they're pictures from at least 2 different events at goodwood (great weather in one and puddles in another).
Plus my car had it's old NAN number in the wet one and the new ALP number in the hot one.

I think that is El Presidente's 1600. It was probably owned by Nick Barltrop then.
Also Richard (Tomlinsons ?) Light blue car.
I think one of the white caravelles is Tony Laws, Joe Salamas 1600 Blue caravelle and Jon Barltrops Blue caravelle (I think that was before the 5G engine), plus Ian Andersons A110 1600.
Those events were a lot of fun. :super

There was also a really wet event we had there. Paul invited (maybe 'shared' the event with) the Fiat Abarth Club. It P155ed down all day but the 124 sport abarths sounded great (even though they kept getting lapped by the A110s). :D

The red, white & blue A110 belonged to Graham Welstead who ran a small engineering shop near Tonbridge Wells. Graham sold the A110 and bought an A364 single seater. Happy days indeed and if I remember correctly little or no noise regulations at Goodwood then!

Yes you all have Nick Barltrop to thank for all this Alpine Gold. What a hero for keeping them all and then taking time to scan them in. Here they all are to enjoy.

I found them on Dell Boy's 310 thread (not updated for a while surprise surprise) which Nick posted on. Is he related to Jon who lives in Kent?

Jon & Nick are brothers.
Eldest brother Chris wasn't into cars but was a leading ring master at a number of circuses (Circi?) and dad Bob was a leading historian on east London.

I haven't nailed this car yet but hope to shortly. Whilst searching and talking to people I'm surprised as to how many 310's that are tucked away in garages and barns waiting for work to be done. I thought it was only GTA owners that kept cars as projects and promising themselves that they will put them back on the road one day ... :D ;)

Now that A310s are starting to get a realistic price, I expect a lot more to hit the tarmac in the next year or two.

Maybe I, by chance, bought at the right time and haven't spent too much on the restoration after all. :up :A310

I don't think they're a great investment, but it's no longer a guaranteed loss when you fix the inevitable breakages.
