Have you seen BMW's Carbon Black? It is black but it has a blue in it when in the right light. A colleague at work had an '08, 3 series in it and when the light shone right it looked like Superman's hair in the old D.C. comics, Black with a flash of blue. Quite cool really. :D

I drove one once. Worst car ever. Ok it was pretty tired and ropey but the gearbox was next to useless, it wouldn't start unless you hit the starter with a hammer, the brake pedal almost went to the floor and within eight miles the oil light had come on where it needed a top-up. The only car I've ever driven that genuinely scared me.... but not in a good way.

I only drove the damn thing as a favour to a friend.

I did a FX job for Jaguar at the end of last year and they had a XK R S in French Racing Blue. I'm convinced this is the only colour to paint a GTA and will be doing mine as soon as I get it back together, so in a couple of years then.....

Just did that, pretty much running at the limit now - 1.2 bar on a big turbo 3.0 litre. Any more power will need a re-engineering of the turbo system which will be very expensive. I'm very happy with how she goes at the minute

most colour samples are grouped in manufacturer order but there is one company that has them in colour order.they have all the metalic blacks in one swatch pearl blues in another etc. i think the nearest stockist is,
morelli & co
79 new park road
sw2 4ew
london

near streatham hill, if you go along there and ask to look at the glasurit colour chip samples you will see every colour on the planet. pick 4 or 5 and from those pick the one you like best and write down the code in the back then i can get it mixed up in halifax.
