I think we are in danger of talking down A610 values, especially for tidy cars. Of the cars sold recently all had issues except the blue one (at least once the drug dealer wheels were removed).
Of the red A610' sold once was cat C with a cloth interior. Cat C will always depress values no matter how well repaired (plus it was on ebay).
One of the red ones had been touched up in the wrong paint colour and looked a mess. The other was also a cat c but on top of that it was in pieces needed a full respray and was not MOT'd. A610 parts can be harder to find and more expensive than GTA ones so cars which need work can be really expensive to sort.
I thinks its a good sign of values that even cars which ned significant sums spent on them still seem to make around 5k. What depresses me is that tidy cars like the blue one and the Garry/Clarkson car still only make 8.5-9k.
Sadly big engined sports cars won't be flying off the shelves just now, but it seems that the bargains are in the tidy cars not the ones in need of work.
Le Mans- values are hard to assess as there are so few of them- A610's must out number them five to one now.

This is a good point well made. I started this thread because I have only become an A610 owner in the last couple of weeks and was amazed that one could buy such an outstanding car for so little money. It doesn't take much to turn a £10K car into £5K but it will cost a lot more than £5K to turn it back into a £10K car again. The seller however needed the money.

The blue one only had 2 owners in 15 years and had obviously been run on a company budget. I've got the bill for brakes alone at £2500!!! and cars like that one don't come up very often.

I knew there was another A610 enthusiast who was prepared to bid more than the £8.5K limit I had set, so the only way I was going to get it was to persuade Alvin to close the auction early (sorry Scotty, you win some you lose some).

Alvin loved his car but didn't realise his drug dealer wheels, shark fin, bonnet pins and turbo badges were limiting the appeal of the car.

Having bought a good car and put it back to standard, I can't see where there will be any major expenditure in running the car. In the last few thousand miles, the car had new brakes, clutch, water pump, PAS pump, steering rack, dampers, suspension bushes, heater matrix etc etc. I'm getting 28-30mpg on the commute to work, costs £170/year insurance and the engine is one of the quietest Renault V6s I've heard.

Compare that with my neighbours cars (or my own others) that cost more to service, more to insure, tax and depreciate at least £3K/year and you siuddenly realise that an A610 is a practical every day car.

Except the dealer car which was good condition, low mileage and desirable LHD

One of the red ones had been touched up in the wrong paint colour and looked a mess.

Just got it back from the paint shop today :D

Amazingly every single one of the 26 Le Mans cars built still exists in one form or another. Even the damaged cars have all been repaired except one

The A610s outnumber them by exactly 2.5:1 at the moment!

Here's my rough price guide for GTAs & derivatives based on sales for 2008

Please note that cheapest prices are for cars with MOT or very close to having MOT. Does not include total basket cases!

Cheapest Atmo recently has been £1.5K
They still sell up to about £3-£4K
The ones advertised for £5K+ tend to hang around (except for the lovely tungsten car which was nearly as new).

Cheapest Turbo recently has been £2K
They still sell up to about £4-£5K
The ones advertised for £6K+ tend to hang around (except for the red car which was nearly as new).

Cheapest Le Mans recently has been £12K
They still sell up to about £14-£15K
The ones advertised for £16K+ tend to hang around.

Cheapest A610 recently has been £5K
They still sell up to about £8-£9K
The ones advertised for £10K tend to hang around (except N1AAA & J600 TEN which were both as new)
Trafic, Twingo GT, Vel Satis Turbo x 2, Clio V6 Proto Ph2, Vel Satis 3.5, Avantime, Alpine A610, GTA Atmo x 3, GTA Turbo x 3, R5 Gordini Turbo Mid Engine, Alpine A310 4cyl, Alpine A110, Yellow Smart

A common misconception.

There were indeed 26 and I have the chassis numbers of every one.

Check the GTA factory production numbers in 'The Cars' section on the main site.

However unfortunately the badge number does not match the chassis production order. For example chassis number 7 is badged number 3.

Did this one get back on the road?

I might also try the 'Drug Dealer' alloys to see if they look better. Not sure if they'll go with the red/black theme but they do have black anodised bolts as detail.

Here's a picture of them on Alvin's old car (now A610 Beaver's!) if you haven't seen them already.

There's definately one in Edinburgh, I've seen it in the Colinton area and a couple of my friends have told me they spotted a car "like yours but maroon/purple (they can never make up their mind) with a black roof" which must be the same one. I only saw it as it passed me but it looked quite tidy.

Standard A610 Scarlet Metallic. NV776.

The worst of the standard colours in my opinion.
