Electronic handbrake reset?

Postby JonT » Mon Aug 23, 2021 4:38 pm

I'm thinking of ordering some of the forthcoming life110 rear brake pads (for the new A110 just to be clear). Does anyone know if there's a trick to resettting the electronic handbrake without needing a scan tool (or if you do need a scan tool, which ones work? I'm guessing it's probably just generic Renault OBD, but no-one I can find lists Alpine, perhaps unsurprisingly). I've seen some videos which show taking the motor apart to reset it, but I'd rather not go to those lengths if I can avoid it.

/and no, I kind of object to paying dealer rates for a job as simple as changing brake pads (well, it should be simple)

David advised me that when the rear pads become available he will also issue intructions on the method of installation.
Apparently without the need for a laptop and ODB reader.
