full top notch re-spray

Postby orbut12 » Wed Jan 25, 2006 8:09 pm

been getting some interesting quotes for a re-spray for my a610, how much do you think it should cost? both doors need stripped and bubbles sorted, front edge of the roof has been sorted but has a horrible paint joint through it and theres a crack in the rear wheel arch caused by some asp jacking the car at the cill, the cills also cracked were the jack was and some lard ass has cracked the rear spoiler when working on the engine, i have been asking for a top job but f##k me i could buy a gta for some of the quotes i've had

I paid two thousand to have the right hand side of my car repaired (both wings and door) and everything bar the roof, rear bumper and spoiler resprayed.

Any work to the cracked panels seems to scare the hell out of most ,afraid they'll come back, and you  I was quoted 1K for a full respray but that was without any repairs needed, save a small dink in the rear spoiler .

I got a quote with Lee to respray his old blue ATMO for £600. I thought that was a real bargain, as the best quote for doing mine a coulple of years ago from other garages was £1800 (with me doing the prep work). Its just at my local garage and i havn't seen any of his work, but i have heard some good reports.

I paid £800 for a respray with some minor work done but I had connections...would have been over £1000 normally.
