Postby Peds96 » Thu Jul 27, 2006 7:07 pm

Does anyone know if the rear lens are still available? Has anyone replaced them? Easy/hard job?

Thx

Thanks for pointing out that thread/link I should have searched the forum a little more. I didn’t even realise that they separated out like that, naively I thought they were just one complete sealed unit.

If you search a bit more you'll find that they are still available (as complete units) but they are quite expensive. Also they tend to fade slightly in the sun so it can look odd unless you change them both.

Rear lights

Postby chrism » Fri Jul 28, 2006 1:29 pm

I enquired at a Renault dealer last week and was quoted £170.81 (inc VAT) for nearside and £333.70 for offside !

It seems that the offside is only available as a pair.

Classic  I saw the same thread in reverse years ago on a lotus message board with a guy asking 'surely I can buy them cheap from Renault' - someone then pointed out they were Alpine parts and therefore just like Lotus they could make up any price they wanted.

Even more funny then that Lotus used so many bits of British Leyland junk  Esprit door handles anyone?

Cor, it must have been years since I saw an Austin All-Agro on the road. Maybe they have all rusted away by now. My day had one, once. I think Once was more than enough for the amount of trouble it caused. I seem to remember he allways left it unlocked with the hope that it would get stolen.... but no such luck.
