Hello all

Postby pearlintherough » Tue Jul 17, 2007 8:43 am

New to this forum and just thought I would say hi. I have had a few renaults in the past: 5 campus, phase 2 5 turbo, 25 txi executive, safrane rt executive and just sold a discovery ES to buy a safrane 2.5.

I sold my disco to buy a cheaper car (safrane) so I could get the car I had a poster of when I was a kid a GTA turbo. The plan was to get a GTA after my 5 turbo but wife and 2 kids got in the way. Anyway I am now looking for a turbo may consider a project gta depending on the price and what needs doing so if anyone knows of anything can thay let me know please.

Cheers Adam

Now might be a good time to advertise Rob's blue GTA Turbo for sale... he has decided that he's spreading himself a bit thin and would rather concentrate on his Atmo. So the crashed GTA turbo is up for sale. Here's the original auction

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0107511626

The car, as it is, is drivable! It starts on the key and has one of the very smoothest engines you'll hear. Stephen Dell has seen it and agreed it's a very tidy car apart from the obvious. Genuine low mileage and a really clean interior - basically because the thing has been garage stored since the accident when it was only 6 years old.

Rob has also bought replacement front wings, nosecone and spoiler, and a complete front end structure cut off a rear ended car. In total, the car owes him about £2500 now and he is simply looking to get his money back.

If you're handy with fibreglass and know a good spray shop, you only need to buy the large headlights and the bonnet hinge assembly... that's it. Everything else is there.

I don't know if I would pay £2500 for a project, I would need to see it and be very inpressed. Is it possible to view it? Cheers Adam
