Z7X heads

Postby spryboy1974 » Thu Sep 06, 2007 8:30 pm

With the symptons i have got regarding the smoking on my GTA Turbo i am quite sure that the fault lies with the valve stem seals.
Seeing as though i have a freshly built Laguna motor doing nothing now, would i be ok in fitting these heads without messing up the fuelling?
Or would it be better to fit the turbo cams to the Z7X heads?
I suppose i could just get new valve stem seals but i just wanted to turn it around quick!

If need be i could just put the Laguna engine in and turn it into an atmo - not sure how much work would be involved though?
I know S.Dell is after my new atmo exhaust system so i would rather not let him down!
I am still awaiting my adaptronic from DG so even though i have the Laguna ecu i could always fit the adaptronic?

Z7X and Z7U heads are not interchangable, Yes they have the same basic footprint but the intake manifolds have a different footprint, the inlet ports are a different shape, the HT leads are different. the combustion chamber volume is differentI could go on.

I thought that as well. No luck then Neil?

I tried mine on ebay and it didn't meet the reserve. The winning bidder was from Belfast do you know him/her Richard  I contacted them to try and do the deal but they have not responded.

No first time out i wouldn't take less than £4500,then when i decided to lower it on the second attempt the winner bidder asked me to retract his bid as you may have already read.
I'm sure everyone on ebay expects to pick up cars for absolutely nothing!!
