A110 pedal box problems

Postby A110K4M » Mon Mar 14, 2011 9:03 pm

Hello Guys,

My name is Udo, I`m a German and new here, hello to everyone !
I own a A 110 and I `m looking for other owners which are as well as myself so inspired of the terrible pedal system, especially if you have 10 ½ shoe size…To solve this problem, I did look for a special pedal box similar to the expensive AP or Tilton boxes, then I found obp which seems to make good value for money pedal boxes.
Unfourtunately, the offered boxes won´t fit to the A 110 due to the very limited space conditions around the pedals. Now, obp has found a new forum within their website, I logged in already and stated my problems. The director of obp did response immediately and asked me for getting a car to match a pedal box, but I think everyone would understand that I´m not able to ship my car from South Germany to the UK for matching the box…

I would prefer to modify the pedal room to make it probably deeper for my long legs by cutting the floor out and use a floor-mounted pedal system which needs much less space than the stock pedals with the protruding lever which couldn`t (on the clutch) moved to the left for more distance to the steering column due to the close upper wishbone pivot point.

So my question is if someone here shares my problem and would probably agree to locate his car at obp for matching a pedal box ? If not, it would be helpful as well to discuss about the solution. I guess all English A 110s are LHD, I don`t think there are existing A 110s RHD, unless someone did switch it……so the box for the LHD cars might be identical for both german and English cars.

Any Statements?

Thx

Udo

what is the location and address of obp? This might encourage an A110 owner, hopefully nearby, to reply to you.
