Special Tools

Postby Stuart D » Wed Mar 23, 2011 9:48 am

I'm planning to strip down my Atmo engine for inspection. It's been sitting in my garage (out of the car) for a few years due to too many other projects. Although it turns over by hand I'd prefer to see what lurks inside before firing it up. Does anybody have the 'special tools' for locking the camshaft sprockets (MOT 589) and the straps for securing the wet liners etc. Happy to hire and pay a deposit.

Both are easy to make if you dont have any luck finding some.

I made both for my GTA and they worked fine
