D501 engine fuel connectors

Postby alp_renx » Wed May 01, 2013 3:26 pm

Hi,

i have a D501 V6 Turbo engine fitted in my 310, and i need to replace the fuel hoses.

Does anyone know the connector dimentions (assume its metric) so i can make new fuel pipes to screw on the existing pipes on the D501 engine ?

Its a pre-cat engine btw

Ones m20x1.5 and the other m14x1.5 if I remember correctly. I'm remaking the hard lines too using Teflon coated aluminum with aeroquip compression fittings.

Cheers, John.

Brilliant, thanks :)

Im going to make teflon hoses from engine to fuel pump / tank. What inner diameter is preferred ? Running more or less standard engine setup with slightly increased boost pressure and Devil exhaust. Have a tuned Renix but its a bit throttle sensitive from idle and up (dies unless i put an egg under my shoe) so its still on the shelf.

My car is still tucked away as winter still hasnt let completely off yet, so i havent unwrapped the car from its carcoon. Just starting to prepare some parts..

Sorry that was m12x1.5 and m14x1.5.

8mm hose should be ok. I use -6 hardline and fittings on new fuel systems which is slightly larger bore.

Cheers, John.
