Chassis Numbers

Could someone please tell me where i can find the chassis number on the A110?

On my FASA A110 the number is stamped into the top of the left hand (when looking at the engine) engine compartment chassis rail. The one that slopes down towards the left hand engine mount. The number is stamped close to the engine mount.
The number could be in a different place on a French built car.
