A610 Fuel Pump

Postby r5gordini » Sun Feb 14, 2016 3:36 pm

My fuel pump has developed a leak! Have I made a mistake by ordering this one?

Bosch 0 580 464 069

http://www.mister-auto.co.uk/en/fuel-pu ... 4!069.html

According to what I can see on some eBay listings it is the same as

0580 464 027, which is the OE part number.

Any thoughts? Paranoia has set in!

And has anyone found a suitable alternative fuel pump suppressor?

Actually I think it's OK according to this site:

http://www.porsche924-944.nl/924/drukpompen.html

It says:

0580464069
replaces:
0580464021
0580464022
0580464024
0580464025
0580464027
0580464028
0580464037
0580464042
0580464044

But I am still interested in a new fuel pump suppressor. I know it's just a capacitor and I could replace it with anything but I don't know what rating component to replace it with.

For others' interest, I measured the capacitance of mine and it is 2.5uF. So, would any 2.5uF non-electrolytic capacitor work? Something like this?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Arcotronics-P ... 0787229027

I want to keep the suppressor after following some of the other threads here suggesting the interference may upset the ECU.
