As an impartial observer, I think andyh877's comments in this post are completely uncalled for and give a very bad impression of this forum. Perhaps Mr Dell should take action.

We don't want to be getting into that Moderator stuff on here .We're all a bit to grown up for that nonsense I hope .Though if there's a job going I'd be willing to keep an eye on the boards ,I'm sat at the computer for most of the working day .
Give me the power to ban them all !!! Muwhahahahaha

Hi,

another safrane biturbo engine. First one ever built (f000001), from Hartge who apparently were responsible for turbo-ing the 3.0L. I suppose they just used it for test runs. Bit expensive, but complete with turbos and ECU.

Anyone have any idea what sort of revs/load the test use would have been done at?

eg

Test use declared 300 hours.

Say @ 3000 rpm = 80mph in 5th = 24,000 miles equivalent use!

The crate engine less turbos is exactly what I bought for my GTA. Brand new with the 4wd gearbox 2000 Euros about 6 years ago - sold the gearbox for £500 meaning the engine cost me about 1400 E or at the old exchange rate when the pound was worth something about £1200 . Love to know what Andys engines sold for.

Quite a lot of nickle for a OE12v lump really... but there again if the club was really progressive, we would collaborate and put it in a club car...

 better get an offer in quick then  ... not been out bid yet, I once managed to push a car on EBay up more than double it's value for a bit of sport, silly chap could let it go, wasn't cheap. I had no interest in it at all and was doing it for fun, and really didn't give a poo... just cut at the right moment and left the chap with the baby... much fun, I'm better these days... human psychology, EBay is such a great training ground
