Hi,

Nice to find another ex owner.
Cannot believe i sold her so soon. We are not emigrating until next year now, i could have kept her another year. :-(
Gutted.

Just looked back over the pics on page 1, nearly made me cry !. She looks great. Best looking car ive ever owned. Best sounding too.
Windows down, 5000rpm in 2nd, and lift off... Wow.. That sound used to make me tingle...

No not really, you shoul listen to Mr Taylors V6 especially on overun 8) 8) 8) Ooooooooooooooooooohhhhhh MATRON, I've stood next a GT3RS owner who turned round and said I wish my Porshe lump sounded like that  That was at a sprint he did at Brands a couple of seasons back, Porche doesn't ever sound as nice as an Aston, Fezza etc might be quick but never sound like a proper super car, the GTA does have a very nice engine/exhaust note though

si21 Sorry Porshe GT3 RS VS GTA TURBO STRAIGHT THRU' ZORST...GTA ALL THE WAY

I have a straight through exhaust on my car remember, and its pretty much the best sounding GTA I've heard, but its not fair to compare it to another car with a factory or silenced exhaust, I bet some of those flat 6's would sound just as good with no baffles. The GTAs sound great though

I guess you mean 4 cylinder Porsche such as a 924, 944 or 968?

Simon the six cylinders can and do sound nice, it just depends on what you want to hear. Porsche exhausts tend to sound a bit more butch and shouty where as Ferrari 8 cylinder, the Aston 8’s and 12’s tend to be higher pitched and a bit of a screamer!!

Check out my only two You Tube videos on the links below. The first one has both my Porsche 964 Carrera 2, (cat removed), and my Venturi 260 out on the road. The exhaust notes are very different, as I said the Porsche is butch and shouty and the Venturi, (still with a cat fitted), sounds hopelessly weedy but slightly interesting. Please forgive the wind noise on this video it was windy on the day.

The second is of the Venturi after the cat has been removed, it sounds better than it had but still not great, it is apparently the back boxes, but since I have had my Le Mans, (now without the cat and a sportier stainless exhaust), I now know I must get the back boxes replaced to get a much nicer sound.

I also found this video of my Venturi on you tube. Funny how your own car never seems that shiney when you do the polishing, it sure looks well polished in this. 8) 8) 8) 8)

so stick up for the porker if you like. The flat 5 in skoobie is a rough sounding porker; porkers not got the nicest sounding lump its not about volume of noise its how it and what noise it makes.

Trouble is with you Tony youv'e been infected, by BMW you' ll be telling us about the M3 you have just collected lol never find me committing a cardinal sin like that

Wouldn't mindy the performance though
