What about the fan thingy?

rupert wrote:Hi Martin, I'm after the engine cooling blower fan on the driver's side of the car. It's a similar unit to the atmo fan located on the opposite side I think.
As I recall from my turbo it can be hard to get at, but only two bolts hold it in place.
The thermo switches and bracket would be good to get a well if you can spare them!

Probably.

Chris is watching this thread to know what bits to pull off the car. I'll post back when we have a pile of bits. Should be getting the car up to the workshop tomorrow.

Looking at the pics, it doesn't seem that you have the front headlamp lenses, but if you do...? And the indicator lenses too?

Thanks.

Can we make that....

1. Turbo inlet hose
2. Both rear side-window grill trims (the slatted/slotted trims that goes up)
4. Interior: alarm remote sensor cover lens (up above the rear view mirror)

Breaking the breaker

Postby redodare » Sun May 01, 2011 9:41 pm

Martin, I would like the electric mirror control switch and harness, fitted to the drivers door arm rest. I also have a problem with the glove box staying closed. The lock and control seems ok on the lid but I do not know what it latches too. There must be something fitted to the dash. Any help or bits would be useful.

Okay guys (and also for the PMs I haven't replied to), I'm off up the workshop today so I'll know what's what. I've got lots of balls in the air at the moment, not enough hours in the day!

Hi guys,

Okay, Chris is cracking on with stripping the car over the next few days.I've put together a list for him from this thread and I think everything is accounted for except:

The blue doors are being swapped wholesale to the white car, but parts from the white doors which are coming off will be going spare... just not yet.

To Cedric: Rob has a spare set of wheels and you're welcome to the metalwork, but for the time being the car has to be rollable.

Heater controls had been glued in, so they're no good, and the fuel pump cover is missing.

Rob Elliott owns the cars - I'm playing middle man here

Hi Martin,
What sort of state is the front subframe in? I've finally got mine stripped back and its looking a bit on the bent side. If this means taking the shell of you at the end of your stripping let me know what sort of money you'd want for it.

I can't swear to the condition of the tub but the damage looks mainly percussive rather than high speed (in other words it seems as though stuff was smashed off it rather than it hitting something hard). Everything's quite crusty but only through lack of use and standing about.
