Could the club members have access to the club 'stock list' in the members section?

Just to clarify this list is actual current stock in hand in the UK not things we can order from Dieppe

Also in case I haven't mentioned it we have just invested in a massive roll of black wrap brake line so the brake guys can make any length with any fitting in a day or two. £15 per line.

I have to say virtually all my Renault parts whether new from Ruin U or 2nd hand have come from Mr Dells Wonerful World or Renault Goodies.

I have something off him at least once a month and I myself have had no trouble what so ever, I pick up the phone and make a call, if I can t get though I send him a text as he has so many voice mails his phone gets blocked up so it'll take him 3 weeks to listen to them all

If he doesn't answer it usualy because he's either in the garage where the signal is poor or already talking to someone about Renaults.

My Red Atmo has taken 3.5 yrs to get back on the road but at no time was I waiting for Mr Dell.

The poor b u gger even sold me his last pair of pivot bolts for the rear suspension because I was desperate, with my car in thousands of pieces and these parts were actually designated for his own car. They have now been on back order from Renault for a couple of months

If you want your bits and pieces give him a call he makes no secret of his number or e-mail and beleive it or not he's also busy himself earning a living like we all are; if he forgets something and you need it urgently give him a quick call or send him a text to remind it's not difficult and works for me

PS I'm not really bothered about an online shop because there is always a story behind the parts; a new price, different availabilty, if available at all. He may have good 2nd hand available straight away so personally I would prefer to hear it from the horses mouth so to speak.

What I would criticise him for   , was talking me into buying "Christine" in the first place         but I have now forgiven him.

I am hoping now fingers crossed the next parts I speak to you about will be for the Le Mans in a few months time providing "Christine" behaves!!

As for meetings again Mr Dell is aware that organising these events takes considerable effort, I know as I have done it many times myself for a similar club; hence the arrival of said team RAOC Trafic, provided at his own expense I may add. Steve also knows I live nearby and often does ask for help getting stuff to and from events including ex F1 drivers   and he knows I will always help where I can.

I said this before and I'll say it again many people offer to do jobs and they are keen to start with, but as I know only too well it usually comes back to the same persons that are always there doing the do. Again I know I've done it, so if your going to offer your help make sure you see it through with some commitment as this is why I found myself relying on me to arrange things

PS Club Member - next time your going home from an event having had a good day out just think to yourself I wonder if all that stuff packs itself away, if you wanna help theres a good starting point  any help is alway greatfully received.

Steve this is the first time I have seen most of these items for sale. You need to flaunt your "assets" more publically so all can see and maybe purchase? I have said it time and time again, the website needs a drastic overhaul and a proper for sale section with pics  I know your busy so just bite the bullet and pay someone to do it out of club funds?

I have heard whispers about the headlamp covers but never seen any for real until this thread.

Just a quick one to say that I recently bought some of Clee's lenses. Very quick delivery and all arrived safe and sound.

Time constraints mean that I haven't had a chance to fit them yet (and am most likely to need some help with the fitting!)

However, I thought I'd post up some pictures and initial feedback.

First impressions are very good - even simple stuff like the fact that each comes with a protective film on the polycarbonate on both sides.
Image

The polycarbonate itself is correctly curved and profiled (not just a flat bit of perspex) and is reassuringly thick - not going to crack there.

Each one has the chamfering for properly fitting and all looks nicely machined.

Image

I went for the lined option as I'd like to keep things as original as possible. The polycarbonate ones have perfectly matched the original thickness and colour of the lines.

Image

All that's missing is the CIBIE and other writing in the bottom corner, which isn't really important. I had always assumed that the lines were equally spaced all the way down the lens but they're not. In fact, it was the polycarbonates that I first noticed this on.

These have the feel (strength-wise) of the glass but at less weight, a bit more stone-deflecting-spring and half the price.
I'm looking forward to getting these on the car, especially as one of my glass lenses is delaminating or something and has a foggy bit slowly spreading from the bottom edge. Not something these new ones will do, either.

Great stuff, Clee.

Id expect you'd have to be uber uber careful in applying the adhesive so there is none of it squidging out when you fit these as obviously you can't scrape it off with a blade like you can with the original glass set.

Steve, you're a shining beacon of sanity in the world of car clubs where infighting and divisions are rife. (There're now two Uk DeLorean clubs, go figure. )

But the site does need an overhaul... and Rottbott's offered to help, and he'd do a bloody good job too. Just let people in mate, it's "our" club after all, thanks to you
