lead

Postby Miles » Sun Mar 22, 2009 11:53 am

Martin,
all I am after is the plastic connector that plugs into the injectors. To enable me to wire up my chargecooler pump correctly. The bodge I have done keeps coming loose.

The pinking sensor is the knock sensor, which is attached to the intake manifold just next to water pump.

Hi Dave,

I have some knock sensors from the 3ltr n/a fitment (same as the ones on the 24V as well), you are welcome to one next time I'm down south - would otherwise go in the junk. The fitment may be different to yours, but can be modified to suit. The frequency response will be the same.

Injector connectors, can probably find one that you can splice / hook joint and sleeve into your loom as well.

Send me a PM and I'll let you know when I'm down.

Dave,
I may still have the injector loom from a broken Escort engine we had , I'm pretty sure its Bosch injectors like the alp. If you get stuck, let me know and I'll have a rummage.

Dave, they're called "Junior Power Timer" connectors.

This is the first link that turned up on google (I have never ordered from these people):

You need a decent non-insulated crimper to fit the pins properly. I use this particular tool which is one of the best and most used tools in my toolbox:
