i'm in desperate need for one of these if anyone can help please. Renault quoting of 10 days order time.

Thanks Lee.

As to fitting it... I rescued the metal and rubber washers out of the old cylinder, the rubber one isn't in great shape though with a couple of splits around it.

One the washers are inserted into the 'new' one, the hex end of the plastic pipe screws right in pretty easily so it doesn't really feel like it's going to compress the washers inside.

The shoulder of the hex bit screws right up to the cylinder.

What d'you think?

Give the plastic pipe a bit of a tug. If it pulls straight out you have problems. If it's pretty tight you might be OK.

Remember the plastic pipe must be kept pushed fully home when tightening.

If you've done it wrong expect to crash into a wall very soon :wink: :lol:

It'll work ......as long as he remembers to push it in tight and has got the stupid little seals and washer on it innit ......

The rubber seal was a bit cack so I bought some 10mm silicon tube and cut a bit off to make a new seal.
It's compressed on okay I think, so I'll try bleeding it tomorrow...

If the new one arrives, I'll bring it to Macon, though that obviously depends upon the proximity of walls when I first try it out for real....

(Thanks for the offer Andy, but I'm committed to the Renault part now)

For the record, DeLorean and Atmo slave cylinders are the same, I get mine from Lucas/Girling via my local motor factors X-ref is a 1992 Espace.
