gta kit wheels

Postby Jeffreybeattie » Mon Mar 14, 2005 11:49 am

what about tyres for the gta 11 kit for the alpine think they are 335/45/15 or something like that size maybe smaller in width and with a larger rim still havent bougth the rim yet just trying to get wheels and tyres together. for 3 piece split rim wheels.

Youd be better off going for 10 or 11 x 17/18s as tyres will be easier to find..

Something like a Michelin Pilot SPORT 335/30 ZR18 would be around £350each and would be closer to the original diameter than a 335/45/15

Truthfully though, if he goes down to a 10 wide rim, he could go for something in the 255-275 range, which would be cheap..

Dare I ask if your able to provide 255/45 R15 at a reasonable price or are they still silly money - thats if you can get hold of any of the stock they've recently produced.
(yes I know I could change for 17" rims and have 255s fitted and maybe after having my mint 15" front rims swiped I should seriously consider this, however I like the orginal wheels too much!)

I can supply the 255-45-15s but they are expensive at £225 each, and thats with me making next to nothing on them.I can get 245-50-15 Dunlops (slightly bigger than the originals), but I have to ship them in from abroad..

Hi Paul,

Don't get too hung up on looking for 255/45's

225/50's are a standard factory size as listed in the brochures and handbook. Much cheaper too.

Factory tread patterns were Michelin MXW or Pirelli P700
