D501 Fuel Feed Hose

Postby Teglen » Sun Dec 04, 2011 10:10 pm

:!: Don't suppose... anyone has a new (or good condition used) hose from the fuel feed line to the t-piece that splits to the rails please? 77 00 266 539. Needed for Friday's track day

Tried it.. but that particular pipe is shaped for good reason as the path it follows is very tight (standard motor factor pipe kinks).

Take a pic for me and I'll have a look at the lump I have to see if it's still there or different to your early engine.

You make it a lot longer than it needs to be and then loop it so no kinks .....
I'd not be fitting a secondhand one .

Checked just now and can confirm that on the later (twin fuel reg) engine the fuel hose setup is completely different so I can't help.

I have to agree fitting a 2nd hand pipe (I always recommend you buy new parts if they are available) is a big gamble. What is wrong with yours?

Try Simon Auto, he will post straight away if he has it so could be with you for Thursday if you get on the blower first thing tomorrow to him.

Sent them a web enquiry yesterday... no response (website does say "Ask", so I'm guessing they don't have them). But I'll try ringing them tomorrow anyways, ta.

Bought a length of competition hose today, as it's strong yet still flexible, so at least I've got a plan B.
