If viewing this car please note:
Chassis number on windscreen does not match chassis number behind drivers seat.
Both numbers are for different yellow spiders registered in Ireland
Vendor cannot give a reasonable explanation other than the windscreen may have been changed. However this is supposed to be a 4000 mile car and it would be extremely unlikely you would fit a damaged s/h screen rather than a new one.
The windscreen is heavily chipped probably 15-20 deep chips and the leather of the steering wheel is worn more than you would expect for this mileage. The rear view mirror is also missing. It would appear that the entire front aluminium windscreen frame with glass has been fitted from another car.
Closer inspection shows that the near side rear three quarter has been repaired. The wheel does not sit properly in the arch and you can feel the coarse fibre glass repairs if you run you hand around the inner wing. You can feel the difference compared to the other side. They should be the same.
On inspection the silver document case was not present and neither were the service books or any handbooks. There was only a photocopy of a blank service book. The vendor may have now resolved this now.
A club member was able to withdraw from the purchase of this vehicle because of the mis-matched chassis numbers.
If considering purchase proceed with caution and inspect carefully to your satisfaction.
