Le Mans 2014

Postby blueg33 » Tue Oct 29, 2013 8:05 am

Do we know whether Alpine will have a car running at Le Mans next year? If so will there be any deals for RAOC members?

I expect most of us will be at the Classic in 2014. It's one not to be missed.

Hmm

I can only do one of them and the Chateau ( :) ) is booked for the main race.

If you go to
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/112508
the Alpine A450 is on the entry list. The ACO always like to see local French entries so I would be amazed if it didn't get a start.

Although I enjoyed the classic in 2012 (despite terminal gearbox failure which meant the GTA came home on the back of a flatbed) I am choosing to go the the main race this year - hoping with Porsche and Toyota stronger it might be a close race in LMP1.

Club might be going to Silverstone to see the car in action again -

(although the LMP2 cars raced on Saturday last year so check the schedule / entry list before buying tickets)

Hopefully a bit less rain than last year

the Signatech Alpine updates are in the Motorsport and trackdays thread.
never thought I would want a list but now find myself needing one just to remind me: Clio V6 230, 5 gt turbo, 5 Gordini turbo, Megane RS 300 Trophy.

I have booked for the main race - driving over Friday dead early, via Eurotunnel, staying overnight Friday in Alencon then parking in Rouge, staying in Alencon again on the way back. My mobile number is 07917041230 - give me a call on Saturday morning - maybe we can meet up?

My brother and i have made the journey for the first time this year but unfortunately we couldn't get the gta in working order so we have his Avantime instead. Staying in Beausejour which i reckon is like glastonbury for petrol heads.....madness so far! Hope anyone here has a good weekend.
