Seeing as this is the A610 thread then you'll forgive me for all these pictures being of A610's. Shame you couldn't come Lee but was nice to follow your car on the lap of the circuit. I got a decent video of that.

Good pic's john i am totally jutted as I was on my way to WSR today to make up the numbers and got halfway there when the loom to a snsor under the turbo melted and the car died!!!!!! It even started to catch fire so i was crapping myself and putting it out with my t shirt. Luckally it is a two wired loom so it is easy to replace but this time will be cable tied up away from the Turbo!!!!! I am just jutted I did not get to see all the 610's lined up as it looks like a grate! Well done to all the guys who made it and Mr dell for sorting it all out!! I will deffo be at the next event!!

Sorry to hear you had problems Paul. You are getting a bit of a reputation, don't go anywhere without an extinguisher!

Very glad to hear to managed to put the fire out and get away with it, thats said I couldn't agree with Andy more, ever since learning of a couple of engine fires which destroyed some 21Turbo's and badly damaged some others I always always have an extinguisher in the car; even more so now that the car is flammable fibreglass best £30 - 40 you should invest, as the time it takes for the FB to arrive it'll be crematorium curtains

I fact I am seriously considering putting a mechanical plumbed in unit into "Christine" as soon as I can afford it, GTA's are not the easiest of cars to get in and out of especially with a bucket seat fitted, if it catches fire after an off I have to be honest it scares me to think of:shock:

WSR Silverstone

mellowyellowa610 wrote:What a phenomenal effort by Stephen and every A610 owner that turned up. We had 19 different cars there over the weekend (20 if you include my small model !!!) Considering there is just 24 on the road at present, I think that is some achievement!

Great weekend from start to finish, I will try and get some pics up later. The drive around Silverstone racetrack was a real (unexpected!) highlight too. :D

I've got to second that! what a weekend, congratulations to Mr Dell. None too shabby as a compere either, with Mr Ragnotti as back up. Great to meet other members, thanks to all.

Any pics of the "special" interior I have heard about in M6 TEN?

Didn't see anything special about the interior of M6 TEN to be honest. Maybe I missed something. Lots of interesting things on the rear end though.

Image

This car is owned by the owner of Old Oak Enfield (which sold more 610's than any other Dealer). Interesting to know that he changed lots of things on his cars when he sold them as he was the only non-official Dealer so didn't have to sell the cars without Alpine on them anywhere. M6 TEN was the second to last car I believe and was ordered in Brooklands Green - the only A610 in this colour which was commonly seen on the R19 and Espace amongst others.

Not feeling the extra v6 turbo badge and the parking sensors!!! Like the colour of the car suits the car but needs dark grey wheels! Is the interior grey or black in this one?

I an now going to have a bottles of water every time i am driving a renault as i must be cursed!!! To be fair was just a melted connector but it still scared me!

I do like the dark green and quite like the extras too, any more pictures of this car anyone?
I now have a fire extinguisher in the car, and I have wondered about a fuel injection pump cut off too- my first Mondeo had one that cut out if you hit the kern too hard but that would seem a sensible investment too.
I think an engine bay loom inspection is overdue too. that has got to be the biggest fire risk, along with the smaller plastic fuel hoses. The main ones are metal and/ braided, but some of the smaller ones look vulnerable on a 17 year old car with an over temperature engine bay.
Steve do you have any a610 engine bay looms?
