Postby eastlmark » Wed Sep 29, 2010 6:38 am

This Sunday, 3rd is the Debden Sprint. (Near Stansted Airport) Probably my final event of the year, have passes if anyone wants to come and watch/help/whatever.
Bob Gibson also entered in his A110.

never look at long term forcasts, always wrong, take WSR weekend, forecasted a washout but we never got a drop of rain all weekend, same at Croix, forcast for heavy rain all day yet we were basking in the Sunshine on Sunday afternoon.

will email you a pass Lee.

I popped up to see how things were going and Mark was having fun today- (in a class of two, he was leading...against a 406 Le Mans) but the wind and rain were building so I dipped out halfway to do some DIY.
Here are a few pictures...click for a slide show

The 4 wheel Bond Bug was very quick....

Thanks for coming Lee and great photos, although the surface of the track does not look good in the photo's, for an airfield track it is very smooth with no major bumps.
Thanks also to Simon and Annie for pooping up and very grateful for your help packing up Simon as my usual pit crew abandoned me in favor of loosing a football match 8-0.

As Lee said, did get a class win by just doing what was nessesary as I have not had a chance to re pack my driveshaft after Croix last week so did not want to push the car too hard and the changing weather conditions made me run my first timed run on a slightly damp track while the earlier runners got a full dry track. Second timed run was a wash out but a lot of fun!

Somehow, he got man of the match! (from his team that is).

Anyway, I have now entered Lydden on the 23rd so that was not my last sprint of the season.
