Last competitive event for 2010

Postby simontaylor » Mon Oct 11, 2010 10:08 pm

Lydden on Saturday 23rd October is likely to be the last Sprint event of the year.
Mark has entered in his Spider, I have entered in my GTA, often Tim Jeffries is there in his A610, and sometimes Pete Ellens and Tony Gomis are there in their A110s. I have seen Clio's race here too and you might even see an R8.
It is a morning event and in the afternoon there will be circuit racing, again this is often very interesting with some very varied entrants, and viewing is exceptional at this venue.
Sprint entries have included upto 4 entrance tickets in the past, I'll have some spare, I'm sure other competitors will too.
Bring sun shades and a chair it is quite a social place too, even has a small grandstand.

Mr Dini, will you be ready?
Mr Baltrop, I'm sure your car is upto it?
Andy, this is a race circuit, just your sort of thing..... and it is directly inbetween your English and French homes?
Mr Gardner, you too, you like circuit :D
And Mr Dell, you have more race cars than most of us, I'm sure you could get one of your fleet up and running quickly. And I'm seen you good your business partner is at driving an F1 car, you should be a winning duo

Thanks Simon,

I wasn't aware of this but will try and get some time off work so that I can get there. Which cub is organizing the meeting?

Simon and those who are entering lydden on sat 23rd October,

I have spoken to Jon Low from TWMC who tells me that the days of getting 4 passes are gone. They leave a competitors list at the gate which will be enough to get you and and your competing car in with one guest.

It looks like anyone else will have to pay.

With three competitors that's at least three guests so not too bad as long as we know whose guest is whose!

final regs now arrived, and yes there are no tickets, it does state that they will admit 2 further support team persons. I will fire off an email now to see if they need to arrive with the competing car or will be allowed in later in the day, will let you know.

No need, just arrive at the gate, and if stopped, say "Mr Low said it was ok"..... and you'll be in.

think we should get a list together of who wants to come and allocate them to each competitor, otherwise everyone may turn up and say they are support of one of us and take his quota and the next person will be force to pay. Could do with some early support myself for putting up shelter etc.

By the way, only one support vehicle is allowed in the paddock so visitors need to park elswhere.
