WSR Silverstone 20th 21st August 2011

Postby stephendell » Tue Aug 02, 2011 5:34 pm

Just a reminder that the closing date for the clubs biggest event of the year is fast approaching.

Due to popular demand the collectors (infield) parking area has been moved out of the central village to a separate area further away from the public. Still a only stone's throw from all the action though.

Therefore only those really interested in the cars should be looking at them. Hopefully as a result we will get a few more people signed up.

Map and programme of events here:

http://www.renaultalpineownersclub.com/ ... E_2011.pdf

Area is also hardstanding as requested, not grass. We also have the use of the empty area closer to the national straight which may be better for viewing.

Registration forms and collectors' events info here:

http://www.renaultalpineownersclub.com/ ... ectors.pdf

Usual goody bags and collectors' benefits including Meguiar's concours.

And don't forget the Gala Evening with Jean Ragnotti as special guest.

Please note special RAOC Discounts:

Registration is £5 instead of £10 for RAOC members saving £5

Gala is £32.50 instead of £37.50 for RAOC members saving £5

We will be celebrating 50 Years of Renault 4, 40 years of A310 and 20 Years of A610 at the Event and at the Gala.

If you want to sign up as volunteer for parking, judging and other duties please let us know.
Trafic, Twingo GT, Vel Satis Turbo x 2, Clio V6 Proto Ph2, Vel Satis 3.5, Avantime, Alpine A610, GTA Atmo x 3, GTA Turbo x 3, R5 Gordini Turbo Mid Engine, Alpine A310 4cyl, Alpine A110, Yellow Smart

Hi Stephen

Please reserve a space for Jen & Me. The form will be printed and sent off very soon.

I will notify the other Venturi folk and perhaps some may venture out in a Venturi.

Need a couple of helpers again?

Paul. :D

Stephen,
Where, on the map, are we located? In one of the P3 areas?

I would also be interested in the Whittlebury at the right price
It was a long day last year having to drive home on the Saturday night after the gala.

Well, that makes the Isle of Wight seem quite close then.

No it's all that area, and the area above closer to the national straight.

Having checked with the "other one" it seems we are on for the Gala Evening!
But she doesn't want to travel home afterwards as she fancies a couple of sherbets!!

So who is camping? I have checked out the camp site at Whittlebury Park and they are only offering camping at what they call "Farm" and at £32 for Saturday night only. Is this the only spot they are offering and the standard price?

I was going to camp but usually.they sell acomplete weekend ticket for that friday right through. The plot is usually quite large so if anyone wants to share a plot let me know its just a walk across the campsite to the gala..sorry meant walk to stagger back

I have booked Whittlebury Campsite so staggering distance from the Gala the pitch is about 5 x 7 metres I'll be camping in Master Van so easily a space for a resonable size tent/van; should anyone require a space for Saturday night - split the cost and very cheap accommodation for the weekend and the benefit of the best kind of air conditioning.

I am booked for Saturday through to Monday so one price for the whole pitch for the whole weekend and have booked for four adults, you would just need to add your reg number on to the booking as an addtional car

PM me if anyone is interested

There are still spaces for parking and the gala on Saturday night so the deadline has been extended to Friday 12th August.

Looking forward to it now :P all you need to sort out is the laps
