WSR Nurburgring 2012 / Le Mans Classic Double Header

Postby Tony Smith » Sun Jan 08, 2012 9:56 pm

I've just noticed that these events are on consecutive weekends. Now a few of us were planning on going for a few extra days to the ring as you can't drive it properly at weekends as its too busy. So does anybody fancy going say the 29th June to the Ring, watching the WSR then having a few days to chill and drive the ring, then drive across to Le Man - about 400 miles - stopping at Reims which is conveniently half way ish. Then spend the weekend at LeMans Classic then come back on the 8th or 9th. Has the advantage of saving dosh too if you were planning on doing both events - only 1 ferry crossing and saves a fair bit in petrol too. Who fancies it?

sounds like a great idea tony and i would love too,
but it would rely on the wife either not minding if i dont take her to New York for her birthday, or if i can swap my other summer hols off work to get the time off :)

so i would say atm this is a maybe for me but i will see what can be done, certainly if more are up for the trip.
