You won't be able to clamp the pipe from the rear tank to the pump very well so plug it instead with a bolt or whatever :up

I installed a Walbro pump years ago, it was a good fit and unfortunately a union fell off the original.
I think you did the right thing by going down the new route.
You wont loose much fuel so long as you plug the line like Lee suggested.

Job done :up

It all came apart without too much grief, or too much spillage. The new pump went straight in. I decided to treat the old girl to a new fuel filter. I got a rear one from the local Eurocarparts - £15. Its a Porsche 928 item. I need to change the front one but they didn't list it.

I think the car is running better, although I haven't had a really good road test yet, due to the weather.
