Road legal demonstrator?

Track baby, 3ltr heads are done, well in their current form, but some ideas and considerations mulling around my mind... I'll be chasing my development test roller cams, real ones will be cut from billet and not too much change out of a couple of k... So rather want to be sure for sure first.. Blocks back this weekend, will see how I get on with time. I'm just about to send off 2 more turbine / compressor combos for balancing, both setup for about 400 /450hp, but that will be the top end of the turbine; one for a more spirited spool long track performance. So things happening chap.. I think that will be the top end for reliability of this 3ltr 12V bottom end, as you know it's all OE from various places, and modified. One after that will be billet rod bottom end 3ltr, and will go up another 200hp or there about. I'm going to do a 2.5 over-bore in forge piston, H beam rods, and 63mm stroke, and will start that soon as a nice little project, and that will have 2.5ltr heads and intake. Been playing around with this combination or potential combination for a while, but now fixed on 63mm stroke. For packaging reasons. So will be looking for a test bed for that at some stage too.

I've got another Turbo box in bits to drop in it innit just need to weld up the linkage case end :wink:

i'm doing some major mods to all the intakes, throttle bodies, intercoolers this days... hope to have a final setup to spend some better time in mapping. I bought also a wideband and controller, and connected to Megasquirt, and used the Auto-tune function of his program... seems to work !
I did not forget the renix bin of the r25t :) just need time to going use THAT pc i have the files into...

oh yes it's me ^^ first video is with my twin turbo delorean... it was nothing serious so not very interesting driving...and gearbox and tires ratio are very tall in delorean, so not for this kind of test...
Second video it was a delorean chassis i restored of a friend, with a new PRV with k-jetronic, the version from a Lancia Thema ( more compression ration than delorean one, better head, cams etc... it was very torquei and fun to drive that car, after this mods, direct exhaust etc :)

I am confused.........??? I never knew they fitted the PRV on any italian car....

Indeed they did Phil, there were a few over here, nearly bought one myself :P I have seen a couple on EBay over the years, and a very fine one indeed too. I nearly bought one to scrap and remove the engine in the days I used to buy any PRV motor I could get my hands on... slowly but surely been cured of that one!

Andrea, well a fine video indeed - second one :-) By the way do you know the published spec on the Thema cams then? I did once notice they published a different firing order...

It was a Thema V6 as a car, but it was known and named as a PRV V6 engine, wasn't market as a Lancia engine. The block castings still had PRV on them. But like the PSA group members they had their own tweaks.

However, as Phil will know, the one to have though was the Fezza V6 engined Thema Special ... the frog V6 equipped version was for the common folk ;-) lol.... Nearest I got was the gearbox out of the Ferrari engined version, as combining the gears from a Delta gearbox you can make up a nice close ratio gearbox...

Surely that was the 8.32 ie V8 with 32 valves? (By Ferrari of course) :wink: The later V6s (after the PRVs) were Alfa units I think.
I'm just here for the gasoline.

Thanks Darren, yes you are right, mixed up brain, long day :-) Anyway, lovely engine, think it was on DCNF carbs wasn't it?

yes knew about the Ferrari v8 version, we have one in my area as a daily driver for local Intagrale specialist, John Whalley. Was the Thema not a shared platform car with Saab or someone? still never thought of the PRV connection. Just assumed it would have been some Fiat motor.
