Cineman - Sounds like I'm in a similar situation to you. The front end doesn't look anything like as bad as the rear, lots of surface rust but have not seen any deep rot. Like you, I believe that some of the front subframe is bonded into the body, something I don't want to disturb unless I really have to... Have a good search through some of the older posts on this forum, there is lots of useful information in here :wink:

Thanks Andy ;) My subframe is not so in great conditions, and i would prefer to make something to it, maybe just ferox and paint would be ok, but i have to see it closely.
anyone has a suggest for one old good topic to see photos for this :) ?

Work has continued (slowly :roll: ) and now the subframe is ready for fitting -

I have also started to make a new n/s headlight bracket as the original was somewhat rotted -

At least the o/s bracket is good, and as one is effectively a mirror image of the other I can use this as a template -

Made a blank replacement and set about cutting and filing :) -

Another couple of hours with the files and it should be ready!
