a real pain of a job. the metal base would'nt line up with the main head, i try a few times but no way would the go together. lots of cursing...bloody dodgy dell boy crap :axe then thought lets compare it with another mirror

Image

can't see on this pic as the website cuts some of it off but on the old red one you can see the metal peg at the front, flat on the top and curved underneath. who ever screwed this on the new one at the factory put it on upside down. swaped it around, perfect. so not mr dells fault in the end :wave

yes they did used to use infatable bags to fit the covers at the factory but when you are working on your own i don't think the inner tube method would work very well, would probably slip and end up with glue every where. i use a sucker on the outside so i can hold it in place then reach inside with my other hand and press it in to place. i've used the wedge method 3 or 4 times now and i works very well, for a loner. :super

They didn't but that's all you've been able to buy for some time now.

All looking really good as usual Andy :super

I'm starting to feel sorry and glad I sold this now! Sorry 'cause it is really looking a top bit of kit now after the work done by John and Andy. Happy cause it would have taken me years to have been able to afford to have this work done and Tom is going to have I suspect the nicest Alpine in Australia never mind the nicest GTA Turbo Le Mans!

Yes the A610 lights are replacement, put on by an owner previous to my tenure, however the original light units, (a few cracks but not to bad), were retained and are with the car to go to Australia.

Very nice indeed, very nice job, quite sad to see it go... but it is going to good safe hands in Tom, and I'm sure we will all hear much more in the future :wave :up
