never thought I would want a list but now find myself needing one just to remind me: Clio V6 230, 5 gt turbo, 5 Gordini turbo, Megane RS 300 Trophy.

Well Simon may not have been at Debden, but Mark, Peter and I had a decent days Marshalling and I got to see a working GTA too.
How's the GTA recovery going Simon?

Lee, I am advised that my GTA is en-route with an ETA of Tuesday 16th. Fingers crossed :-) Looking forward to taking the engine out again.
Glad you had a good day and "Thanks for Marshaling" MUCH appreciated even though I was not there.
Is that "Murf"?

It is Simon, and by a twist of fate we were all posted to the same marshals post despite us not knowing each other before. You can probably guess the days conversation subject.....
We had a busy post too..... a poor exit cone from our chicane took a bit of a hammering and our observations ruined a few drivers times... including my son who I had to call in and give him a 5 second penalty!

It is the same in the Rally world. There are cones and chicanes that the drivers hate and complain about.....however the organisers have to have them to slow cars down for an impending corner that has little or no run-off etc.

Glad you all had a good day "together".

Well spotted gentlemen! Yes I bought the car from Jon Kenny in July 2015 and apart from the usual issues with old French electrics am delighted with her. Prior to Jon, she was owned for a number of years by Peter Crowther who now lives in Cambridge and very kindly got in touch via our forum to offer wisdom/experience if required.
Talking to Lee yesterday I gather he also considered buying it back in 2015 when it was advertised on Car and Classic so I'm lucky he decided not to. There were not many GTA's around at the time and I think/hope I got a good one.
I thoroughly enjoyed my marshalling at Debden (apart from being chilled to the marrow in the morning) and was surprised as Mark has already said by how frequently we had to replace the blue cone on the exit of 'our' chicane.

Murf.

All quiet on the sprinting front..... We had another Debden last weekend and, despite forecasts of horrendous weather it turned out dry and mild. I was in charge of start line this time!
Not much, infact nothing Alpine there but the odd Renault turned up.
Boy did good in his Honda against a class field....

Full results here if interested.

You managing Hondas too now.
Looks like Brians son has been moved on from German cars to Italian ones.
Watch Martin Prescott, he is pretty handy and his Dad Paul Prescitt was the mini driver at Brooklands and CoC too, a bit of a Mini-king and an ex-Autocross champion..... in a Mini. A racing family, daughter as well.
Well done Riku.

I would hope so, but running another Motor Club, with 500 members and 20 odd events a year takes up a lot of time. SO far I am dissapointed with progress, but I do have a free weekend coming up.
