25 turbo owner looking for friends??

Postby 25v6turbo » Sat Nov 12, 2005 8:14 pm

as i said in DG post for breaking the gta,i just wondered if it would be ok to turn up at a gta meet at the ace??i know your cars are worth far more than mine, but we do have a couple of things in common, the running gear(to a degree)its a renault, and i,ve worked for renault since i left school,my 25 turbo is my pride and joy and is in lovely condition,i,am sad enough to collect brochures, parts etc on the turbo, and even bought another complete car for spares and paid for it to be delivered from devon(i live in surrey)no one seems to like the 25 turbo,or no one ever know renault made one!!i,am at the moment trying to find out roughly how many survive and at the moment i,ve made it to 6!!!!!they are nearly all gone the kit car people bought them cheap for there running gear, and then scrapped the rest, this i don,t mind to be honest, but i would like to find out if any more survive,so if anyone whos of any roadworthy or not please let me know, and i hope to meeet some of you at anace night,i went to donnington and loved looking at your cars(despite the weather!)great display, they looked great going round the track, all the best, keep up the good work

Ahh thought it was, I bought some boost hoses off you a while back that went to the wrong house etc

How does the performance differ to the 21?

Go onto http://www.renaultownersclub.com/ and there is one in the for sale section at the bottom.

Cheers,

Martin

ah yes i remember,my fault!,yes i saw that one listed,i was going to ring the owner, might do that today!the 25 just seems like a more solid car,ok its much heavier, but its fully loaded and i love my toys, its even got full leather, with electric seats(all did)but with the ergomatic kit(very rare)these are seperate sections of the seat which blow up,very clever, don,t think they are quite as fast, but not to far behind, lag seemed to be a problem when new,but mine doesn,t seem to suffer much from that,i know of another 25 turbo that i think paul sage has at his renault company, think it gets used as a tow car, also a member of the 21 turbo owners clubs dad has one(blue i think)there was the one listed in the roc mag(silver)there was a couple of phase 1s on e-bay several months ago,but neither where roadworthy if i remember, think they where both black, don,t know of any others, unless someone here knows of any,as i say, doesn,t matter if there roadworthy, just got to be a complete car,a chap about 20 mins from me had a blue phase 2,never had it running,he broke that recently, scrapped the shell, but still has the running gear(box/engine he wants £400,has a brand new ecu)and all the other parts i,am going to have, just in case!
